Santex América expands Córdoba development center - Argentina

Santex América, the Latin American division of US IT outsourcing services provider Santex Group, has expanded its applications development center in the Argentine province of Córdoba, the company said in a statement.

At the center Santex América currently designs and develops applications exclusively for the US market. In 2005, it developed 25 projects for US clients, the company said.

"We expect to close the year [2006] with some 30 projects for clients in the US", Santex América's operations director Alfonso Santiago told BNamericas.

The executive said the projects are mainly based on Java and .Net technologies.

The company also plans to start offering services to Argentine clients in 2007, Santiago said.

Santex Group does not expect to open offices in other Latin American countries in the medium term, he added.

Headquartered in California, Santex Group has more than 100 clients worldwide.
